Hello Fiber Friends, It's time for a new newsletter! I have almost 15 days of school left, and I am trying to enjoy my time with the students! I am also done with my KSU Students who will all hopefully become amazing art teachers.
In some celebrations for me, I have been working with clients on some commissions that I will weave this summer. I love working with people on custom things for their home because I often get to work with new materials and color pallets that I normally would.

I am also really excited about a show I have been working on with my friend Stephen Drake who is a fashion designer and tailor from Akron. He is so interesting to work with because we both have interesting color pallets, but very different taste levels. If I could wear drawstring levis pants everyday I would (and often do) but Stephen D. will often post his outfits of the day and they are always amazing. His work in the show is a selection of upcycled and altered jackets. He used old blankets and clothes, and even some of my own textile samples to create the pieces on the wall. I took inspiration from his color schemes and patterns, and created a series of houndstooth weave pieces for the show, mixed in with other works. The show will be at Gallery 202, one of the many fun spaces at 78th St. Studios in Cleveland's Gordon Square neighborhood. Come out ant see the show, opening Friday, May 15th!

Send me positive vibes as I try to make it through the end of the school year! Also, I will be open all of the First Friday's during the summer in Downtown Canton.
